the show has been bad since season 15 (where it dropped in quality significantly), with just a couple good episodes per season since. season 20 was cool because at least they tried to do something different instead of the same shit. its basically one 3 hour movie, and it falls apart but at least its interesting. i stopped watching completely by season 22

I liked season 21. I felt like it was a big step up from season 20. Put it Down, Franchise Prequel, Hummels & Heroin, Doubling Down, Moss Piglets, and Super Hard PCness were great. The finale had its a few moments but was mostly a dud. The Randy episodes all sucked ass. Season 21 was a really good return to form for Cartman who had been really neutered in season 19 and 20. Its also one of the last consistent seasons and I find it to be pretty underrated.
Seasons 20 and 23 are the only seasons I outright dislike, honestly. 20 for obvious reasons, and 23 for making virtually every episode about tegridy weed, which got old fast, and thankfully was mostly toned down in the seasons after.

Was it S19 with the Girl that was actually an ad?
I kind of like that one even less than S20. At least Season 20 had that meta-commentary of Gerald as stand-in for Matt and Trey vs. the new wave of political troll in Mr. Betruger.

This, season 20 and 21 are the worst. Tegridy was never as bad as the relationship faggotry. Pure cringefest >>149698048
Lolwut, season 21 was absolute dogshit >Return to form for Cartman
Lol literally how? He was just a faggy boyfriend, that's all.

I honestly don't even hate the Tegridy Weed stuff overall. I just don't think there needed to be six episodes in a row about it.
>>149699790
the relationship stuff was pretty good in season 21 though, but Heidi should've been reserved for special episodes like they do with other side characters like Wendy.
>>149700067 >pretty good
Nigga it was the gayest shit I've ever seen in my life. I watch South Park for the lols, not for some gay soap opera shit. That shit almost had me wondering if Trey was a tranny larping as a man, because only a woman could write something as godawful as that and pass it off as comedy.
>>149700361
the only episode I outright hate.
I want to believe killing off Logan Paul and the general thumbs-down to influencer shit in Not-Suitable-For-Children is their non-apology.

Modern South Park is literal homosexuality. There is literally no difference between being a South Park fan in past 2005 and being a homosexual. There is literally zero difference between watching Nu Park and watching gay porn.

thanks, yeah I looked it up and this is the season where they started making almost exclusively "current topic"-centered episodes (crowdfunding, freemium games, ridesharing, etc)
>>149701121 >where they started making almost exclusively "current topic"-centered episodes >started
They were doing lots of episodes like that per season for well over a decade at the point
>>149701166
maybe I worded it wrong, they were making these kinds of episode yes, but if you look at the episode list for season 18, all but one episode are centered around what was big at the time, that's what I was getting at, and that's when I started getting tired of the show.

It was an entire season of manipulative piece of shit Cartman after two seasons of unfunny fake woke Cartman. Cartman throwing a fit over no one caring if he killed himself is one of the funniest things modern South Park has done to this day.
>>149702095
Honestly same. It has maybe five good episodes out of seventeen. Everything else was super forgettable. But I would take more season 4s than season 26.

Also, I dislike all Garrison-Trump episodes except for Spring Break. That one was actually funny to me. I also like season 19 because despite there being an overarching plot, there were still individual episodes. Season 27 seems like it's gonna be a reverse version of season 19, which may be interesting.
Call me a cocksucker but even season 20 was really funny at times due to Geralt being a moron. South Park never really had an extended run of being bad, it just sometimes had episodes that missed and its honestly shocking how rare they happen.
>watch south park retrospective >guy goes into 10 minute rant mid vid to complain about Matt and Trey being directly responsible for Trump getting elected and all the evil in the world just because they're not left wing
I find it funny how many normies are praising SP and calling it the most important thing ever just because they made fun of the real trump in the premier, when perviously SP was considered the worst thing in existance by normie lefties.

I disliked garrison trump in S20 but actually liked him after. Not only does Garisson actually have some of Trump's traits post the 2016 win but him being a crackhead president is funny and fitting. I get why people are pissing themselves over the premier but I wish they would have kept Garisson as Trump and do some cool reason for why he is him again, especially after the spring break episode forshadowing it.
