Predators are the minority (whites are the global minority) and forced to live with generation guilt for their ancestors, which could parallel slavery/colonialism
however people with little to no worldly knowledge will just assume "hated minority = black"

Only in a very loose sense of population and social fears.
If you think about it too much it makes no sense, elephants, hippos, rhinos, and such could absolutely destroy predators with little effort so the idea of there being a history of differences is a bit silly if you keep thinking about it.

The predator/prey dynamic isn't supposed to be a direct allegory for any specific real world race. When you try to apply specific real world races to the dynamic it doesn't match up whichever way you do it.
It's supposed to be a simple story about prejudice that children can understand. Kids will understand it, but too many adults overthink it.
Pretty sure they were all racist to each other. Animals were racist to other animals just because of size or speed or whatever arbitrary difference. The story just chose meat eaters as a scape goat but that could've been any type of animal.
