man it feels like longer. somehow in my memory, this was from like 2014-15.
I've been rewatching, but my rewatch was hampered significantly by the periods in season 3 when I had to wait til I was in a good emotional state to see sweet perfect Hazel again and hear her cry for Tuba.
... and then season 4 has been slow because i'm just not as pulled in by it, but yknow? it's better than I remember. They're really good chums.

First three books were great. Fourth was complete shit and I don't blame higher ups for canceling the whole thing after that mess of a chapter happened. I seriously have no idea what the fuck the crew were thinking making that when the show only just got a second chance at telling it's story at the time. They must have known making a shit chapter like that wasn't going to help their case.

There actually IS a four disc DVD set of all four books.
It's unofficial, and not authorized by Owen, CN, or Warner Bros, but the quality is excellent and on par with the legitimate DVD releases of the first two books.
Just do an interwebs search and you can find it.
(Or you could just go to your favorite cartoon streaming site and watch all four books there)

Book 3 is unsatisfying because Grace is a "Karma Houdini". Either they both should have got redeemed or both should have died.
Arguably, the lone survivor works if it's Grace who goes crazy and dies instead with Simon breaking the chains of a toxic relationship he got dragged into, or Simon was always the leader and he was the one manipulating Grace. But having the cult leader who has ruined many lives at this stage abruptly get cold feet and wash their hands of it all just does not work.

I want to take every conceivable one of tulip's virginities, but that aside. It was just incredibly good. But Lake's season was easily my favorite, although I liked Simon's season a lot too. The show was just... good. I don't have any other way to put it. It basically had no flaws IMO. Interesting world, interesting writing, nothing stupid or too contrived, nothing annoying, I liked it. Gay boys in a band season I have yet to watch (I just forgot, and knowing it's the last one I got sad about it too)
I don't really hope it comes back because it could come back badly, but there's plenty of "writing space" left for it so I could see a revival being very nice too
