The series was already finished by a bunch of unpaid fans in the first place. Now that Hussie isn't reigning them in or giving them a framework to work inside of, it's become a complete fucking mess that is so bad that no amount of derisive parody or hostile mockery could match how unbelievably fucking stupid and awful homestuck actually is now.

Would've been nice if Hussie laid off his fentanyl addiction and ended the series by Act 5 so it doesn't drag long enough for foreign studios to avoid adapting it so the fanbase isn't near extinct by today. I know he felt like shit knowing Scott Pilgrim got an entire animated series like two decades later.
