>NOOOOOO I've been deceived by everyone in the entire show because I'm a retard and I killed a child!
>We're sorry :'( we'll let you become the leader of the Justice League out of pity
Who asked for this? There were 30+ characters in the Team/YJ's Outsiders that were terribly underutilized. Why give Thirty-something Black Lightning an Arc in S3 that doesn't even carry through to S4

YJ should have just been allowed to linger on a cliff hanger. We all know Weisman can't maintain momentum before crashing and burning. Whatever the fans could have come up with would have been better than what we got.

Every Season of Young Justice after the first one does this. They introduce a bunch of new characters to focus the story around and then by the next season they just become side characters

It was around the time that WB tried to push Black Lightning. Can't see another reason. He has no connection to Teen Titans.

Young Justice would have been much better had it stayed focused on the original team members as they continued to grow up instead of time-skipping and introducing a bajillion new characters every season

The drawback of that is that the plot would've been even slower. We probably wouldn't have even known what the missing Leaguers were doing in those 16 hours. The scope of the whole Light/Apokolips story line was massive.

>and introducing a bajillion new characters every season

Only a handful of those characters are relevant depending on the seasonal arc. The rest are window dressing, not unlike JLU or Avengers: EMH doing the same thing.

God I was rewatching Invasion recently and got to the scene where they finally reveal why Connor and M'gann broke up and it's because M'gann was abusing her psychic powers and mind-raping a bunch of villains and when Connor confronted her about it she tried to erase his memory.

And all I could think was "WOW WHAT A COMPELLING STORY ARC! I REALLY WISH WE COULD'VE SEEN THAT INSTEAD OF JUST BEING TOLD ABOUT IT AFTER THE FACT!"

Season 1. It wasn't solely focused on the main six, but the six grounded the show. Black Canary, Red Tornado, Zatanna/Zatara, Cheshire, Captain Marvel were all side characters but got just enough screen-time to have memorable roles. And they accomplished that by having those characters linked to the main team. By Season 3 there's the main team, the Justice League, The Outsiders, Geo's Team, The Bat family and bunch of other fuckers we have to keep track off and nobody was given the time they needed

He has no connection to the Teen Titans, but he has a big connection to the Outsiders (y'know, the subtitle of the season). It's from where Geo-Force and Halo come from. There's also an episode with Metamorpho and Katana.

Granted, I have no idea why in the second half of the season they decided their version of the Outsiders was going to be essentially the Geoff Johns' Teen Titans.

Teen Titans Go! is a probably the most popular thing DC is making right now because it's literally for babies. Harley Quinn (for whatever reason) was a huge hit with critics

There isn't much of an audience for YJ anymore outside of the die-hards

I kind of miss this show because /co/ would bitch about it so much, but still kept watching every episode and post about how they stopped watching because of how woke it is (they didn't stop watching). It got so bad that I started watching it and thinking about what /co/ is going to find to complain about this week. The self-imposed outrage was every bit as delectable as the /co/'s delusion of having free will. The widespread butthurt was absolutely exquisite. 10/10 TV show.

Apparently it had higher viewership in streaming than it ever did in cable.

Even if HBO was less apathetic and gave it another season, it would've gotten Zaslav'd anyway. The timing was terrible.

Funnily enough I've been rewatching Young Justice lately and to be honest I did find it cathartic when he started yelling at Batman and his team for keeping everyone else in the dark. Granted Beast Boy probably had the most reason to be upset I had forgotten how almost every mission his team went on was sent up.
>>149725339
The way they completely skipped over Clark and Connor bonding was the worst for me. That's the kind of character growth I want to see on screen instead it's just time skip and they're brothers now.
Anonymous No.149730232 >>149732619
Weisman got greedy and tried to use the show as a vehicle to show off his personal DC universe instead of focusing on one thing. It plagues a lot of his work.

Honestly, he was one of the better new additions post-season 2. I think adding more characters while staying focused on existing plotlines to get to a fitting conclusion would've been much better than constant expansion then dropping them and such. It not being important in season 4 is just another issue.
