I'm gonna be honest, if you want animation to ever improve these shows need to end. And they need to be banned from being rebooted. It's the only way to force networks to be creative and make new things that are actually good. These shows have done to cartoons what Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube did to websites.

If you want to do something original these days, don't bother trying to make it into a cartoon, it's too much work. Make it into a webcomic instead, it's much easier.

SpongeBob is the only one of these currently airing that gives a damn about artistic freedom but I agree the rest can go.
I disagree that cancelling any of them will solve anything, the industry is in a downward spiral rn, has been for years.
Indie is the place to be if you're a budding artist.

Animation wise, scooby had higher peaks than any of the shows mentioned in the OP save for maybe Spongebob in certain eras

Regardless of whether you personally think they are good or not, Mystery Incorporated, the 90s films, and some of the 2010s films like Abracadabra-doo have very nice animation and atmosphere at times. I would even say that Zombie Island is a great film.

New shows' ratings aren't immediately judged next to the ratings of Scooby Doo like they are with all the shows OP mentioned.
I like all of these shows but OP is correct to a degree. These are the most "standard" American cartoons at the moment and everything still tries to copy them. Add Rick and Morty to the list, too.

Also, if you want animation to ever improve these are the shows that needed to be long runners instead of whats posted in the OP. It's the other way to force networks to be creative and make new things that are actually good. These shows have done to cartoons what Joe Redifer, Clint Basinger and David Murray have done to YouTube.

New ideas don't work when all of them are about DEI girls dealing with their quirky chingus life.

No, these need to stay to keep the lights on until new things can take their place. They just need to invest more money back into production, development, and talent with long-term visions instead of lining greedy exec and shareholder pockets quarter over quarter.

I’ve seen someone compare NuBob to the New Adventures of Mighty Mouse, where the show itself isn’t that good, but it has a unique and great-looking art direction compared to any other cartoon of it’s time, and if our industry improves anytime soon, it could be the starting point for many cartoonists in the industry.

Hey Famicom, how about no show becomes a longrunner, faggot

In the alternate timeline where Laura Haruna ran for 20+ years you’d be complaining about Zombie Laura Haruna or shit like that.

Sazae-San, Doraemon, Chibi Maruko-Chan and Shin-Chan are all long runners and are respected as fuck.
The point is long runners can work.

Not true, Animaniacs never had Kennedy.
