Ah I checked there but I was glancing past it. Eh. I mean it bolsters the lore more but it wasn't as substantial. Though plotting and writing that whole gas station story is much more taxing so I understand why something like that won't be made for a while.
I'm thinking of writing my own book but it does borrow the idea of a ghost girl from a previous time in history haunting a guy in current day and it taking a toll on him.
I'm probably going to have a pseudonym if it gets to that point of publishing. Anyway, the story has a setting of a theater, the pov of the book being a coworker of the guy being haunted, and having a mix of comedy, drama, and horror.
Do you guys think I'm differentiating it enough from Hladilnik? I was also planning on having the girl's killer show up at the theater and the theme revolve around creation and movies.

You can tell this is the case because people totally averse to furry stuff actually like his work. Like me. You can tell the guy comes up with writing ideas first and builds the characters around them rather than the inverse like 99%+ of furry artists where they come up with a character design then awkwardly try to backfill some kind of story in.

1. She has that whole "ghostly aura" thing where even if you can't see her being around her can make you freak out
2. He relives the day of her murder every night as soon as he falls asleep

She can interact with stuff but only he (and a gas station attendant) can see her. I don't recall any explanation for either of them being able to do so. There is an implication that the attendant is her killer or involved in her death in some way, or is maybe some supernatural entity himself, but it's intentionally ambiguous.

Maybe, maybe not. Its entirely possible Carol is only a ghost because of the specific way she died or something the killer did outside of the actual murder. Dan can see ghosts somehow but he's only ever seen ghosts killed by this particular serial killer which is odd.
