No you are not. You think you are going to enjoy something but inside your mind you know its "tarnished" that it is "damaged" that it is "rotten" and you little by little start to turn apathetic. You stop caring for it because its a ruined brand.
You want a modern example look at Assassins Creed long running gaming franchsie and look at its fandom NOW. They are distancing themselves from the brand as they are indifferent now after many shoddy sequels. You can't make low quality media for too long as eventually the damage runs deep. Star Wars will never climb back to prominence.
You can kill every single piece of shit who collaborated to ruin it and it won't get rid of the scars. Many old fans don't give a damn. And young people? They see Star Wars as old shit their grandparents used to like. Just shit for old people.
