Man of Steel was so shitty that it prevented a movie where Superman and Batman fought each other from making a billion dollars.
Superman outsold every Marvel movie in the middle of the post-covid movie environment and superhero fatigue, and everyone who watched Superman actually liked it.
Gunnverse Justice League will probably make a billion, but Secret Wars isn't gonna be Endgame level.
Also Rise of Skywalker was a phenomenally bad movie that made a billion because pre-covid moviegoers were extremely stupid.

If there's one bad thing about the character, it's his supporting cast. Are they going to focus on that? Better to tell good stories. One of the worst things about the movie is the amount of plot setups; it really felt like one of those fillerish comic books that the BIG 2 churn out on a monthly basis.
