It takes more time and money than what it's worth. I miss them too anon but it's not financially profitable anymore and no Gen alpha kid is going to buy a Bluey game on the Switch 2, it's going to be mostly grown autistic adults.

Making games got too expensive.
Pretty sure some cartoons still get cheap phone games.

I think Hilda used to have a shitty gacha game but it got delisted from the app stores.

Development budgets skyrocketed in the HD era, same reason we barely get any movie tie-in games anymore.

what is your favorite cartoon flash game
Anonymous No.149755700
We still do, it's just that most companies want to do mobile games or collabs with live service games instead.

These companies can barely afford to MAKE the damn cartoons. What makes you think they'll dish out extra funds for video games that'll make 'em bankrupt?

The PS2 era was probably the absolute best era for lower-scale games in general, gigantic reach in terms of platform size but budgets weren't as retarded as they are now, AA games are functionally dead

It looks like every years has a some releases, last year were The smurfs Village Party and The smurfs Dreams, granted, those games are based more on the 2017 film, but also on that year Rugrats Aventures in gameland was released, South Park Snow Day, Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, Looney Tunes Wacky world of sports, the Felix the cat games re-release but I feel that's like cheating as weel as Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh, which takes it visuals from the 2011 movie.

No console is ever outdoing the impact the PS2 had in its heyday. NEVER!
