I did and it was neat, but I think Bakshi has always been kind of shoddy at storytelling.

OP, you're actually right this time
I used to rewatch the trailer nonstop in high school and think about it a lot instead of actually watching it. Still haven't, I have no excuse.
I've seen most of Bakshi's other works at least. I have a soft spot for Hey Good Lookin

Appreciate you. Halloween is my favorite because I always make costumes out of common materials. For instance, the helmet was made by purchasing a baseball helmet (never cared for the sport), removing the cage, then attaching a radio antenna from a DIY radio kit I burnt to the top by sticking it through a cut Nerf dart that is attached via tape; that's why the antenna is bent. The mask, because I didn't have time to dye a neck garter, was made from a red pair of shorts I had laying around, with the black area coming from a balaclava and the yellow eyes being from shooting glasses. The red suit was just random crap I found at Walmart and the gloves and boots were gardening wear; because the pants were XXXL (I'm an S), I took a belt from a holster I had. Personally, I like the black boots and gloves since they provide a bit more color than just red, and since it was cold I also put on a black vest and I liked to imagine it was a battle vest (maybe it would have saved the poor bastard from that bitch Elinore).
Definitely a fun costume, alongside my Pfhor and Enzo Matrix costume.

The story would have been perfect if it were three films. First part concerns the six terrorists who blew up the Earth; second part concerns the rise of Avatar and Blackwolf and ending with the climactic battle between the brothers; then the third is just War Wizards.

I have, OP. I have dozens of times that you have no idea. I'm a fan of Bakshi for lord knows how long. It's just not his best movie imo. If anything, only Heavy Traffic, Hey Good Lookin' and Coonskin are the best movies he's ever made, and they are among my top 20 favorite movies

As cold as that line is, I dont think tbey axtually have last names. Also, I'm a little confused. Were elves and faries decendants of humans or seperate species who hibernated until humans drove themselves almost to extinction?

I have. It would have been better if we got more animation and fewer expository slide shows, but Bakshi was regularly fucked over by studios in regards to funding and time.

Steve Gallacci started uploading most of them onto his site a decade ago. But it's mostly just the Erma Felna: EDF stories, excludes other stories in the anthologies including the little author notes pages about the setting and stuff. And I don't think he has any of the Birthright stories.
There's some better scans online but they're missing a lot of issues, especially the more expensive ones like the first real issue or Usagi's first appearence

It's actually properly structured like a movie and creates a huge amount of narrative weight through the generational stuff while using period-appropriate music. The final scene is both cathartic after seeing all the shit they went through and sick as hell in its own right. It's so good that I don't even care that it's rotoscoped.
