Reading Wizzywig put his suicide in a new light for me. The way he depicted Kevin's experience after being exposed as a hacker was a real look into the mindset he must have had and how he felt his life was already over with the accusations. It was eerily prescient, and considering how early in his career that book was it felt like the sort of bookend to his life that typically only happens in fiction.

Then many of them go on to pursue careers with their talents which just continues this escapism without fully dealing with their unresolved issues. Theyre still kids in a lot of ways. Commercial interests know this and exploit these type of people for their talents (easy money) and now we have many stories of creatives who crash out, not because theyre evil people but because they never dealt with their issues.
