When I was little, I really didn't like how Steven just threw away Peridot's limb extenders. So I imagined a scenario where Steven remembered about it, felt bad for doing so, and asked Lapis to help him find the extenders on the bottom of the ocean near the portal nexus. And after they found them, they'd gift them to Peri on her Earth Arrival anniversary or something... Peri would be really happy to receive them, but she wouldn't put them back on because she grew up and didn't need the extenders anymore. She'd just place the parts next to her other foot, smile, wipe down her tears under the visor, and go back to celebrating with the other clods.

All this Peridot talk made me remember walking to school on a cold winter morning one day. The sun hadn't risen yet, and I was going downhill and I could see the horizon clearly. And at one moment, the sky turned a really beautiful, vibrant shade of green, just like how Peri's escape pod glowed in the cartoon. It was really pretty. I've seen skies of this color a couple of times after that, but they weren't nearly this impressive. I think that's one of my most favorite memories from those years.

I don't think there's been a single instance in this show where that actually helps anything. It just makes things worse. Flashbacks are brought down with those crappy silhouettes, the "unreliable narrator" thing makes anything outside of recordings inaccurate, and you miss out on interactions and scenes that would have helped the show.
