The Clown Prince of Crime had come into his own, both in his own comic book series and in his psyche, or lack thereof...

Jack Kirby, Jack Kirby
30 June 2026, $175, 1472 pages
In the world of comic books, few writers or artists loom as large as the legendary Jack Kirby. By the early 1970s, he'd already spent 30 pioneering years innovating and exploring the comics art form.
After a groundbreaking decade at Marvel, Kirby returned to DC Comics and immediately began crafting some of his best-loved works, most notably his cosmic epic, the Fourth World saga. For anyone but Jack Kirby, this colossal masterpiece would have been contribution enough to the DC canon, but "the King" spent that same period revitalizing all corners of the DC Universe, from superhero antics to experimental horror to wartime realism, and creating such unforgettable characters as Etrigan the Demon and OMAC.
This volume pulls together more than 1,400 pages of these "other" Kirby comics from the 1970s and 1980s, featuring the Demon, the Sandman, the Losers and more!
Collects stories from In the Days of the Mob #1-2, Spirit World #1, Weird Mystery Tales #1-3, The Demon #1-16, The Sandman #1-6, OMAC #1-8, Our Fighting Forces #151-162, Super Powers (Vol. 1) #1-5, Super Powers (Vol. 2) #1-6 and many more!

>Justice League of America: The Bronze Age Omnibus Vol. 1 (New Edition)
Len Wein, Mike Friedrich, Gardner Fox, Dennis O'Neil, Mike Sekowsky
23 June 2026, $125, 856 pages
One of the greatest eras in the history of the Justice League of America starts here.
The beginning of the 1970s saw the heroes of the JLA trading in their secret New England cave hideout for the Earth-orbiting Satellite HQ. Plus, the League started expanding its lineup to include even more characters, such as the Elongated Man and the Red Tornado! Throw in team-ups with the classic Justice Society of America and the returned Seven Soldiers of Victory, and it&;s easy to see why these stories became fan-favorite epics.
These cosmic tales turned the Justice League of America into the legends of the DC Universe that they are today, and are gathered for the first time in this expansive collection. JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: THE BRONZE AGE OMNIBUS VOLUME ONE begins the famed super-team's Bronze Age exploits from JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #77-113, and includes a foreword by veteran comic writer Roy Thomas.

Yes but is it fun to read? Like do the stories define Flash as a fun character to read but also inform everything else about him? I guess everybody praises Wally and the run introduces those major concepts as well so I guess it is the definitive run like PAD's Hulk.

Pretty much all of Flash vol 2 is worth reading. Baron's run is slow but it sets up the fantastic messner-Loebs run. That run is followed up by Waid's run, which is great, and then that's followed up by Johns run which was also great. After Johns leaves the book is a bit more shaky.

Waid's run is considered to be the definitive Wally West run, but only because DC spent YEARS burying the Baron/WML run that preceded the Waid run.
Waid basically took Wally and turned him from a flawed but successful conservative young hero who was trying to find his way in life and as his mentor's replacement, and turned him into a generic center-left politically, A-List hero who lost ALL of his edge and basically became a Mary Sue-type variation of Spider-Man. Except Waid, for all of his love for the DC Silver Age, replaced all of Wally's villains with serial killers, mass murdering cultists, edgelord con men, and psychopaths while killing off all of the entire Rogues team (Captain Boomerang, Captain Cold, Mirror Master II, Heatwave, and Weather Wizard) because "they were lame as fuck" compared to Waid's beloved cavalcade of forgettable brigade of mass murdering OC characters and only resurrected them because Grant Morrison wanted to use Mirror Master II (who he created in Animal Man)

Ditko's Question run is too fucking small for a trade. He wrote five back up stories for Vic, plus a guest spot for Vic Sage in the A-story for Blue Beetle #5, and only one full length comic (Mystery Suspense). That's it.
That said, DC put out ALL of the Charlton Ditko stuff (plus the unpublished issues of Captain Atom and Blue Beetle and the insanely hard to find non-Ditko Charlton Bullseye Question story) in a two volume Archive called Action Heroes, of which all the Question stories are in the second volume

For years, Wizard (who's writing/editorial staff were huge Waid dick suckers) loved to shit on the Baron/WML Flash runs as being immature and not worth reading. It wasn't until Rebirth, when Wally came back and DC started putting out their runs in digital AND in HC volumes, that people got to read them for the first time; which alongside Waid pretty much committing professional suicide going full-woke and trying to ruin Richard Meyer's career, led to a backlash against the Waid run and the Baron/WML being reevaluated as being better/superior.

definitely nice that they're rereleasing the Golden Age omnibuses, would love to see them expand the line to cover more of DC's Golden Age comics beyond the Trinity and Green Arrow, though I imagine it'd be a bit trickier to do so unless they did it as a blanket "JSA: The Golden Age Omnibus" sort of thing and folded in most of the other solo hero stories in with the "proper" JSA stories
would also be nice to extend that into Fawcett and Quality as well(and maybe a Silver Age Omnibus for Charlton's "Action Heroes") but that's a lot less likely(especially for Fawcett since there's the whole landmine that is Steamboat), aside from maybe Plastic Man(since they're already collecting his Golden Age stories in the DC Finest line)
