Honestly that last part bears repeating. He's got these gigantic fucking hands and he gets a ton of use out of them. Ultima doesn't really seem to do particularly well when it comes down to melee.
Even his whole "Slicing through a building with his blast" feat isn't really that substantial compared to the stuff Gyaos was doing with it's scalpel, which Gamera tanked the shit out of with barely skin-deep damage.

As a Goku enjoyer, I couldn't really get mad. Well that's not really true, I was annoyed by the announcement because I knew it would be the same song and dance. And it basically was other than Goku and Clark being more amiable. Goku struggles to achieve anything during the fight and the second that Clark feels like ending things he does.
I personally think that GvS1 was a better fight in terms of showcasing the two's abilities.
I guess there is still some vitriol that flows through me in some degree, since I thought it was annoying when I learned the context of the world forger punch and I kinda checked out of Death Battle at that point.

I just don’t get why they wouldn’t just do Doomslayer vs Kratos instead of Krasura. Then they could lore wank both without making themselves look too insane. Honestly, I think what makes the Gemstone Godzilla shorts so irritating to me is that they're, objectively, some of the best fight choreography in the franchise by a gargantuan margin, with some of the coolest shit Godzilla has ever done. But it's super-bogged down by how a lot of it feels like it's more focused on making Godzilla stronger and "Cool" rather than any real emotional stakes.
It's basically Solo Leveling with giant monsters.
I don't care if he did the dropkick with his plates, I don't feel any emotions from it.
