Because Taylor made him Bisexual. That's the reason. If they make Jon a child again then they'll either be accused of pushing the gay agenda on kids OR they'll be accused of gay erasure. They don't want to deal with that shit so Jon just stays like this. The twins are the consolation prize but no one really latched on.

Bad writing doesn't make Clark (or Lois) into bad parents. If that was the case, you could blame Weissman, since far more people consider Superman to be not just a bad parent but a bad person/bad hero based on the Young Justice animated series and this is a far more prevalent normie belied than a few thousand (or even a few tens of thousands) of readers of Super Sons.

Lois is a pretty bad parent. She allowed Jon to go on a crazy space adventure with his estranged grandfather that recently attempted genocide. Same estranged grandfather would later abandon Jon on Earth 3 in the care of Ultraman for several years before he eventually escapes. And there is also this incident. Like how do you not hear the water in the shower running and assume no one is inside.
