Why is Garfield media so much more creative outside Davis's cartoon strip? There's no law preventing Davis from deviating from the same 10 jokes he's been telling his whole career.

Anon he wrote Pet Force. He probably signs off on everything that's done with Garfield. He's old and rich. He's been making comics nearly every day for decades. If he wants to stick to that and allow others to do stuff with Garfield then he deserves it.
