finished reading Blood Hunt. I’m not normally a marvel guy, but I’ve been looking for good Blade comics and this somewhat delivered what I wanted.
I’m glad they turned Varnae into an interesting villain, in the 1994 series he was nothing but a boring distraction.
has anyone read One World Under Doom? I’m also interested to learn more about Moon Knight after this arc. Does Moon Knight typically hunt vampires?

he isn’t really as powerful as other villains.
he was only able to grow his army circumstantially because Batman wasn’t paying attention soon enough.
meanwhile recurring people like Freeze, Joker, Scarecrow, Ivy all have sci-fi government-grade chemical and biological weapons up their sleeve that they can deploy against Batman at any time.

Thongor of Lemuria. Back during the 60s Carter and L Sprague De Camp basically made their name by editing Robert E Howard's Conan stories. It blew. And whatever they didn't "edit" they ripped off whole sale. During the early development days of Conan the comic at marvel, Stan Lee was pushing for them to get Thongor because he liked the name and it would have been cheaper.

I started reading Secret Six by Nicole Maines, wanted to see Jon Kents current status quo after years of lazy faggotry. It was surprisingly decent, I thought it was going to be some awful fluff because it it has Jons pink shit in it and Maine’s self insert, but it was still a solid read. I hope pink shit stays a villain and Jon gets turned back into a kid tho.

That's what I'm kind of figuring out as I go through it. It's sort of doing what I liked about Absolute Batman, spinning around the usual dynamics of the characters, but it's not exactly hitting the same notes of interesting spins I think Absolute Batman was hitting. I'll probably catch up at least and then see about trying Absolute Martian Manhunter and Absolute Wonder Woman next. And if there's any other Absolute stuff going on then. As I understand eventually Batman is going to crossover into Wonder Woman's run and presumably the rest will too so may help to be caught up with the rest.

This event is easily MUCH better than Civil War II, Secret Empire, Inhumans vs. X-Men, and Infinity Wars.
The best thing is that the shitty, artificially pushed characters like Kamala and Miles are finally no longer the protagonists. For the first time since Secret Wars 2015. I can't say how good it felt not to see the nigga and the Muslim after 4 events
