No, I agree. I think she's cute, has a fun personality, and I like her transformation fetish and potential wizard training storyline that's being teased. The problem is she was introduced 10 years ago and literally nothing has happened with her. She's completely redundant and just taking up space and will probably stay that way since Dan's now pivoted to Hope as his main character fixation with Lavender and Jay being his back up interested which means there was no reason to introduce her, at least at the time and in the way he did, and she derailed much more interesting things when she did show up.
It would have been much better to pair Elliot with Susan, give Sarah the wizard plotline since it's already been teased and set up and then have her, Tedd, and Grace keep teasing throuple and experimenting while Nanase and Ellen hangout with Diane and everyone getting together for adventures instead of what's about to happen which is a bunch of set up with no pay off and like 3 or more side characters getting introduced into the cast like seriously can you imagine Dan wroting a scene with Tedd, Grace, Elliot, Sarah, Justin, Susan, Nanase, Ellen, Diane, Ashley, Sam, Jay, and Hope all in the same room or doing something as a group? Let alone if you added in Noah, Raven, Charlotte, Rhoda, Catalina, and/or Amazon lesbian too
I think Ashley would've worked better as a character introduced later and possibly as just a recurring character.
