>>149812908>How the fuck did they get away with this?barbie and she ra
Thats it. The first few waves of toys had an april figure, and they attempted to make her similar to barbie and she ra. The basic idea was to have a figure that girls could join in with their male friends or siblings to play ninja turtles with. At worst, a working woman that wouldn't be insulting and annoying to a mother or grandmother who would probably purchase the toys.
So she is healthy and attractive much like barbie or she ra was. And an adult.
It wouldn't be until the narcisism of adult ceo's forced its way into the writing room that you would start to see tons and tons of characters miroring the audience (kids in school). Narcist only care about themselves and have trouble having empathy for others. These same dip shits assume everyone is the same, so they eventually forced kids cartoons to be nothing but kids in the hopes that kids would love it and they would gain market share.
Preachy pearl clutching parents handed them the keys to the kingdom on this, asserting that action cartoons with teens and adults were too mature for children and would encourage them to beat the shit out of each other and break things.
Which is mostly nonsense other than a random kid jumping off a roof and breaking their arm.
