When you make fun of a friend it's not an issue, when the whole group constantly rags on them and no one else it starts being less of a joke. You can't escape the anti-male agenda. All of the most popular fathers in animation follow the dumbass dad trope. Simpsons, Family Guy, modern South Park, Rick and Morty, Gumball, Fairly Oddparents, Jimmy Neutron, Billy and Mandy, Danny Phantom. That's just the dads too, not even just dumb boys in general which might be even more pervasive. These things come from societal perceptions and feed back into them. A lot of people who genuinely think this is how the world works. Daddy goes to work with his suitcase of donuts and comes home exhausted from watching TV all day while poor Mom continues to slave away.
