Lady's voice actor is the worst I have seen. Seriously, I have seen dubbed hentai by literal pornstars who do a better job.
Her voice acting is like "awkwardly monotone," which comes off like an actress just reading a script; there is no energy to anything. Even the Japanese dub of her is all but stoic, so I don't think she is supposed to be like that?
The actress is a B-movie star, and this seems to be her first voice-acting role.
The shit performance is only amplified by cringe dialogue and other voice actors being much better.

Was anyone else bothered by this, or am I just a misogynist?

I've said this before.
Shankar has only the most of superficial understandings of why DMC (or Castlevania for that matter) works
Forgive me my zoomerspeak but I'm certain at best it's "le wacky demon man with a sword go brrr" unironically. He doesn't understand tone, atmosphere, setting, hell he doesn't understand characters voices. That's why they all sound like a high-schoolers who heard his parents cuss during an argument and tries to repeat those words wanting to sound more adult. That's why it's all so flat and boring even discounting the shit writing. These writers wouldn't draw inspiration from gothic horror works that inspired DMC because they themselves probably have a very shallow pool of references.

The arrogance of "fuck those old people, I know better" polluting the modern media and writers trying to be different without understanding why old shit worked or simply dismissing it as corny or bad.

There were a lot of scenes that pissed me off but the one that really got under my skin was actually the Dance Dance Revolution scene. Would Dante play DDR? Yeah, I could see it. Would he fucking bomb? No. Dante would do so well that the machine would explode. That's been the basic premise of the entire character since DMC3. He's a tryhard and he's corny but so much so that it can loop around to being genuinely cool. Making him fail DDR is just trying to undermine that sincerity with a wink and it ruins the entire tone. That scene told me everything I needed to know about how Shankar misunderstands Dante and the series as a whole, nevermind the rest of the garbage he threw at us

That Scamjeet has only produced one thing that wasn't a loaf of lukewarm shit, and that was Dredd. This is purely because his approach of making what's normally a girl side character into the actual focus of the story actually worked, since Judge Dredd is more a force of nature with a scowl and a lawgiver.
For DMC that is a fatal goddamn error, since Dante is supposed to be the cool, charismatic lead that actually can beat the shit out of everything he comes across, because that's what he does in the games.

He's not the writer. He's infamously a financier who demands a production credit on things when he did none of the creative work. However it's also a known fact that he blatantly hit the okay on people who skimmed the wiki being in charge of the writing room.
He was basically temporarily soft blacklisted for a while because everyone who worked with him was sick of his shit so he basically went to smaller companies who were desperate to make their fan movies and stuff and would finance it on the grounds he got credit until he became known as "the edgy geek guy" via youtube short films. With Castlevania and when he initially bought DMC, his goal was basically making himself the 'hero' for franchises that had gone dormant which is why he got butthurt when DMC5 was announced.
So yeah, the DMC show is a case where he just handed the rights to someone who hadn't done anything other than read the wiki like he did with Castlevania
