I think it over represents a minority population that seldom has children and have high rates of abuse. Personally I see it as part of the process of cultural manufacturing of consent in order to try and make these concepts the new paradigm, 10 years ago. Having it still around now is just inertia and will fade away with time.

The problem is that homosexuality develops from enviromental exposure so you could legitamtely increase the likelihood of a child growing up to be gay through things like this when they otherwise would develop to be heterosexual. This is not even a chud thing and is understood clinically.

no one actually knows why people grow up to be homosexual, but environment cant be the only or even main reason otherwise heterosexual parents would never have a homosexual child which is empirically untrue
compounding factors is that a gay child might just be more comfortable coming out to his gay parents compared to not
the current medical understanding is that we dont actually know what the cause is, but its likely caused by both environment and genetics

environment alone does not explain what is observed, as regardless of what environment people are raised in, you always get a relatively wide range of orientations of people coming out of them, and all attempts to "raise" people to be a certain orientation end up as failures

any conclusion that says they know which is the most impactful is a hypothesis, there is no theory on the origin of orientation and probably will not for a long time

the only things that evidence point to is that the persons conscious mind has little to no bearing on orientation
and while the environment, as a whole, does have an effect on orientation, the actual parenting part of the environment has weak-at-best correlation on orientation
or put more simply, based on what we know for sure, gay parents are about as equally likely as UV rays to influence their child

Depends on how young the target demographic is.
I'm of the strong belief that very young children are to be taught what "normal", the standard, the cookie cutter, and when that's firmly settled for them and they've matured to the point you think they can handle it (depends on the child), then you can start teaching them about the outliers and outsiders out there.
