Joker could have a female sidekick, but not Harley. If it were for me, I'd have him brainwash or mind control some of the heroines and turn her into his new Harley replacement but improved. With a plot like that you can have a Joker being a serious piece of shit villain and having Batman struggling to fight against one of his own and also refraining from killing Joker for doing something so cruel to the young heroine.

Harley has never been a good idea. Some idiot psycho dumb bitch who ruins her life in such an idiotic way yet the writers intend for you the audience to think Harley is a victim and we want to rescue her? Ha! I think the best Harley story is the one where Harley encounters a random girl and Harley explains her history to this little girl. And the girl openly calls Harley an idiot because now that she's decided to be a criminal because she loved Joker now she has to spend the rest of her life running away from cops. Harley is shown seething and she has to leave the girl to continue running away from getting arrested by law enforcement. That was the only good Harley story.

And I hate Harley for ruing Ivy with the lesbian shit. And I really hate Harley in particular for how she got away with all her crimes in DCAU. The fact Batman and Batgirl allowed that bitch to live happily ever after even when they knew Harley helped Joker torture Tim who is a little kid, that will forever make me hate this shitty Mary Sue. I hope that Harley loses her popularity as soon as possible. Shit character and a blight on the Batman franchise.

Harley Quinn's main character quirk was originally that she was basically in an abusive relationship with the Joker. She was madly in love with him despite him treating her terribly. It was a major character flaw that made her interesting.

But it's 2025 and that's problematic so fuck you she's a lesbian now. They couldn't even keep her costume which was one of the best parts of her designs so now she looks like some slut that fell out of a Hot Topic.

But someone like that realistically shouldn't be out there with the urban ninjas that are the Batfamily. Harley is strictly non-combat. The problem is that BTAS Harley is the only time Harley was done exceptionally well. Everything else just rushes past the best part of her story/character development and nosedives into the "we have no idea what to do with this character aside from putting her in the Suicide Squad or making out with Ivy".
