I really like this concept because the idea of Azula being less "crazy evil" and more "selfish but with a soft side for people she loves" comes from the prequel comic to the live-action movie of all things.
I can see how things would diverge, and it's because of Ursa.

I like to think Hater is still the one to crush on Dominator, but goes about in a more assertive manner. Domie still wouldn't reciprocate the feelings, but Wander would help her talk to him and suggest they just be friends. He'd be over her by then, but this would also cause him to fly into a fury and nearly wipe out the universe out of rage and concealed loneliness.

I kinda like this AU, because there’s an obvious pun with Finn’s name and the fact that he’s living with the Hyoomans in this little hypothetical.
Also, the idea that this little feral gremlin child that’s half Susan’s age at best is actually a cybernetically enhanced super-swordsman that could turn Susan into mincemeat with relative ease is a neat dynamic.

Keep in mind that this was done years before Islands. So none of that backstory was involved, and was just "Susan was raised on the surface and became the hero of Ooo while Finn grew up among the Hyoomans." Still kind of works post-Islands, just switching up where they landed.
