Happy 28th to SP!

When I was a senior in high school, my friend who was a year ahead of me went to college and came back for vacation with a recording of The Spirit of Christmas on vhs. Soon everyone in town had an nth generation copy of it and we would watch it whenever we got bored. It was funny every time. The next summer, the news hit that they were making a series based on it but our area didn't have Comedy Central yet so once again, we had to get a vhs of the season one episodes from relatives/friends who lived where they had it. We got together at mutual friends houses and smoked pot while watching the first South Parks. Good times.

It might be the Unaired Pilot scenes that contain a different intro, slightly different plot points, a slightly different ending, and 2 minutes of Pip scenes around the school instead of just being set on fire in class.

i'm not even the biggest south park fan and even I have to admit that, even when it's at its' worst, it's still a pretty great show. It's not really my bag, (not because of some weird political point, I'm just talking about the tone) but I will be the first to step up and defend it, it's been solid for a long time, like not all the seasons are amazing 10/10, but there's no such thing as "zombie south park", which for such a long-running show is a real testament to the overall quality, I tip my hat respectfully from across the fence.

Unironically, with the amount of callbacks to older stuff so far, I genuinely would not be surprised if they bring back Kenny's immortality plotline.
Maybe he helps Satan get over Trump/Saddam again, and Satan is revealed to be the only character that remembers Kenny's deaths, what with being the ruler of (most of) the afterlife.
