The 2020s are halfway over, how has animation developed since they started?
>Pic unrelated, I couldn't think of an appropriate OP would be so I just used Superman as an icon of American cartooning

the combination of 2D and 3D recent movies have been doing is a great innovation. I want to see more of that and less of the Pixar style stuff

Indie slop like Glitch is the future of animation.

western television animation is ded. movies sometimes do cool stuff. Animu is getting much better at using digital but as always time and budget determines quality.

how do you estimate if someone is under 18?
they donโ€™t listen to enough podcasts?
Iโ€™m 25 and I feel like my YouTube recommendations havenโ€™t changed much

It's been pretty weak on the cartoon side, I don't think I've even watched 10 cartoons so far from this decade.

Well I imagined that Youtube has record of lets say videos that you liked and when you liked them. If I liked an old ass Naruto AMV and I did it in lets say 2010, that would be 15 years ago, and since Youtube probably assumes a 3 year old in 2010 couldnt even be cognitively aware of what liking a video is or how to do that, theyre just gonna assume your 18+
Also they probably have a record on when you made a Youtube account itself, and even if they are aware people bullshitted their age back then, they would have to assume you were at least a teenager, they probably have an arbitrary number like "If a user made an account in 2012 just assume they were 10" and so on for the other years, and then just do some basic math. Its gonna make a lot of old fucks who just figured out how the internet works confused as fuck, a lot of people are gonna get pissed

The 2010's and 2020's comprise the darkest age in the history of animation, but manchildren and the mentally ill will pretend otherwise as long as modern release reaffirm their mental illness, feature rap music, or pander to some gay subculture they're apart of.

Action cartoons and male oriented media in general is effectively dead and all that's on offer for straight men are the reheated and gimped adaptions of 20 year old comics that werent even that good to begin with, anime, and watered down revivals of shows that died off 20 years ago.

It is an awful time.

Nowadays if you say "we baby bears sucks", nobody gives you a lecture on nostalgia. 9 out of 10 times they think you're trolling by even bringing it up, meanwhile for every 2010s CN show it'd start an argument. That's how far CN has fallen off.

I was an idiot and had a Google+ account at one point and I still have my original gmail account but I've never logged into and have rarely been logged into either while I also concurrently went on YT.
THAT's the problem most of you idiots suffer from - Alphabet has this info the same Facebook does, because y'all have LIKED and SUBSCRIBED or COMMENTED or simply done shit like that. I was clearly my history and pausing my watch and search history for years and while I recently stumbled across some shit from my Google+ days and I know even with pausing my shit on the regular, YouTube still inserted trackers, once I log out and restart completely, it's all gone.

>I'm just logging out till Youtube
It's not even just that but people should stop wasting time on YT (not that tiktok is any better); I've got lots of streaming to catch up on and pirate sites that still have that shit so that's what I'll be doing with time I would have wasted on YT

Once people start giving eyeballs to their site, Alphabet will adjust if not fully stop this shit. But since most of you, most casuals, almost all normies and the great unwashed at large, are addicted fucking lazy imbeciles, it won't happen.

I did a quick glance on Wikipedia of animated shows of the last 5 years and I've completed
>JJ Villard's Fairy Tales
>Solar Opposites S1 (didn't watch the rest)
>YOLO S1 (also didn't watch the rest)
>Invincible S1 (haven't seen most of S2 or 3, did see the Atom Eve special)
>Blue Eye Samurai
>MAWS S1 (didn't watch S2)
>Common Side Effects
Also, jesus christ, 2024 and 2025 have been absolutely anemic in regards to the number of actual shows.
