What's the best Batman villain introduced in the 21st century? They haven't shown up in live action yet, but there are plenty of good ones.

Court of Owls is a meh retread of the original False Face Society from the 60s as well as Morrison's Black Glove from a few years prior.
That and Dr. Hurt in general has my vote. It's interesting that the past 15 years of Batshit has been various writers playing with Morrison's toys(Court of Owls aping the Black Glove's Eyes Wide Shut vibe, King's Thomas Wayne as a retread of Batman fighting a twisted version of his father in Dr. Hurt, the entirety of Snyder's Heavy Metal shit revolving around Barbatos, etc etc)

Punchline, Court of Owls, Batman Who Laughs, White Rabbit.

Pyg is the best creation so far, but he's not a Batman villain, he's a DickBats/Nightwing villain.
I want to point out that it's been almost 100 issues and still no one has addressed that Pyg clearly knows who Dick Grayson is, and is willing to fuck with him on a personal level.
We need another Pyg arc.

Hush and the Court of Owls suck dick. Punchline is lame. Professor Pyg is okay. Mr. Bloom looks cool, but doesn't have much past that. I don't know if any of these are "good".

They really should've left him as an antagonist. It would've been cool to have Batman's former protege be one of his enemies, and I don't think Todd even works well alongside Batman anymore, not without removing everything that makes him unique.

Brother, I've been on here for going on 13 years. I spend 30 hours a week here, minimum. We're talking over 20,000 hours of /co/. My thread limit is damn near constantly maxed out. That's certainly a reason, I'd even say the most common one, but reddit tourism is very much real. They usually come here because they saw a funny greentext/meme from here while brainrotting on social media and want to be "in on the fun". The most pathetic ones come here to take screenshots to post on their social media and farm engagement there. Redditors sometimes even fucking make up greentexts in their social media pages because it's the most likely way to farm engagement.

Can we address the elephant in the room here?
Every single time anybody not named Grant Morrison touched the character, it was godawful.
He simply doesn't work without a schizo (in a good way) writer with a baggage of occult/mythological knowledge. Even Arkham Knight version which was by far the best of non-Morrison Pygs was just a generic serial killer/torturer who could easily be replaced by a dozen of other obscure Batman villains.
Pyg is at his best and creepiest when he's going on barely coherent rambling about Tiamat and Lamastu and throwing around biblical references etc etc. That's what makes Morrison's Pyg feel like an authentic and terrifying schizo rather than your bogstandard Gotham villain in a mask and with a gimmick. Nobody recaptured that after Morrison.

had a decent first story, the Owlman being his brother shit aside, and Snyder continuing to push them (with Calvin Rose's book, Batman Eternal, then basically Dick taking them back from Bruce) cemented them as the batfamily's/Gotham's evil illuminati instead of Black Glove. Problem is every story after their first has been shit, as even their appearance in rebirth Nightwing (their second best appearance) is more hard carried by Raptor
