We're talking about comics anon. Not everything needs to be realistic, explanations sometimes are good enough just like this one. Cancer shouldn't exist in Marvel and DC. The most important thing is how fun the stories are, the reason why everything sucks now. If you want realism in stories about dudes with powers and silly cosumes then read something else, usually pretentious shit

It cheapens the idea of the superhero, if everybody is running around with a device that can effectively perform half of what makes a superhero unique, it ruins the purpose. And the writers would have to do actual worldbuilding.

Why doesn't every fictional character just magically solve every problem and prevent every plot from happening before it even begins? I am very very autistic so seeing fictional characters not be perfect beings of pure logic that never make mistakes or behave irrationally and always take the most optimal course of action makes me screech like a howler monkey and explosively shit myself.

We're talking about the same comics that first introduced a character who was disliked by comic book employees because of the number of real-life law enforcers who associated themselves with him, right? It was at the point that they made a Punisher issue to tell the readers to look up to captain America. That's right, the only solution is for superheroes to solve every problem before it starts so there's no plot and there's nothing for me to start why-don't-they-justing about.
