Well it is all to do with the camera.
Sony has pushed for more cinematic games after the success of games like Uncharted and Last of Us.
God of War 2018 and Ragnarok have fulfilled this push by invoking the auteur filmmaker technique of a single cut. This is to say that they always want the camera rolling and tracking events without loading screens.
The over the shoulder camera aids in this by making it so models like Kratos and Atreus are always a high enough quakoty that the transition to cutscene won't be jarring.
This also has the effect of forcing gameplay down to what we get and away from the platforming arena beat em up.
This limits the size that enemies can cap out at and still be engagable.

In Green Lantern news, the Emotional Spectrum has been fucked by the fake(?)/evil(?) emotions making their own power batteries with the help of the Starbreakers and some sort of source relic that was from a temple that was built inside of the soruce wall. The Green Lanterns are still 'Green' (and Kyle turned white momentarily and is currently still 'White'), but they are emotionless.
Well accept for the robot lantern Aya, who just got yanked in from the cartoon last issue. She's still got her emotions seemingly.

Liu Kang vs Jago is currently its most popular matchup and the team apparently wants to do a Jago episode. Spinal vs Cervantes is kind of like Sabrewulf vs Jon and Remilia vs Rachel in the sense that it's not really popular to the general public but still requested consistently enough to be remembered sometimes, same goes for Chief Thunder vs Nightwolf but it seems that one eventually stopped being requested. As for who I think wins? Probably Ash. I'm almost certain they'll just yoink whatever stats they have for them on VSBW and call it a day, then make up verdicts for the other categories to fit who "the stats" say wins. There's way too much subjectivity and vagueness for them to determine the winner on strategy/power interactions alone.

Interestingly, Ben says here that Warner told them to make an MK11 episodes only a few weeks before the game came out. They did a Cast episode on Cage vs Falcon in the beginning of April where Ben was weirdly knowledgeable about both and then MK11 came out at the end of the month. The episode later came out at the beginning of July.
Ben has mentioned for this episode that he was a lot more involved than normal, actually writing the script and doing some of the research, so it seems like he used the cast to gauge opinions on the match while they had begun production on it and then finished it in under 3 months.

It's easy to think that we never see Kratos do anything that matches Asura, but we do: Helios' speed matches Chakravartin, and Kratos outsped him; Atlas is strong enough to lift all of reality, and Kratos overpowered him; Cronos defeated the creator of the universe in a one-on-one fight, same as Asura, and Kratos killed Cronos. Add in the clear numerical comparison of Chakravartin, Ragnarök, and Yggdrasil, and Kratos takes the edge in power.
