The message of this film unfortunately aged gracefully.

I Thought it was kind of derivitive of Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell. The ending jumped the shark.

nah, it was about tech billionaires profiting off a crisis. it was meant to be a realistic ending

It was good. Really interesting worldbuilding.
Too bad it completely flew under the radar.

I loved it. Gorgeous animation and artstyle, good story, though it's a French Noir so I knew what was coming. The actual science-fiction stuff in the background like the synths were cool too. Hope we get more like this in future.

how is French animation supposed to gain international audiences if there aren't any licit ways to watch what they produce?

This is actually cyberpunk because capital wins in the end.

I hate the ending. Too much of a downer and i dont like how they killed off the MC because i fell in love with that girl failure. Also their shouldve been more female nudity

I assume it's for the same reason Japan don't and everything they do aim at their national market first and foremost. People rarely care about foreign movies and only American's blockbusters and a select few anime movie get an easy pass. For the rest, appealing to a foreign market is a huge risk for a small indies; huge waste of money for very uncertain results with a niche audience.

Surpassed my expectations. The /co/ threads when it came out were great. It actually made me stop watching the online copy and find a theater playing it near me on the last day it was showing.

It had a blu ray from Shout iirc, and it had like a 1 week theatrical run that I actually went to last year(?) lol
But yeah it did fly under the radar unfortunately. I rather enjoyed it but most of the threads on /co/ I remember were the usual retards complaining about a hijab they saw a background character wearing, muh 3d, or something about brown people.
