Zach Hadel had a Christian awakening in his 20s and has been boldface lying about the beliefs espoused in Smiling Friends when confronted with accusations that it's generally predicated upon abusive, normative Christian doctrine. Here's the bottom line:

-Starting off with what might be kind of a reach, but Desmond can be interpreted as a character who's entertaining his nihilistic/suicidal streak as a lark to disguise his ego and get his kicks by disturbing people around him, kind of like a satire on the self-absorbed fat nerd stereotype who thinks he's deeper and more mischievous than he really is. This is credited by the ending where he becomes happy and successful killing household pests while the final gag of the episode is Pim continuing to suffer the existential crisis Desmond gave him. Completely overlooking any way the sin of pride can be linked to gay pride
-Alan's crucifixion is a direct reference to Christ's crucifixion, making Bliblies nonbelievers and Desmond an unintentional career killer of non-Christians, which are being portrayed as animalistic and hive-minded

>Season 1, Episode 2 - "Mr. Frog" - Greed
-Frog is a rich celebrity who has milled a fortune off of an audience he doesn't care about and has become a hedonist drug addict, which is shown to be slowly corrupting him and ruining his career and exacerbated when Charlie gives him painkillers and attempts to put him on The Tonight Show - he avoids doom by murdering an anti-anti-woke stereotype and is reformed

>Season 1, Episode 3 - "Shrimp's Odyssey" - Sloth
-Lol this fucking autistic virgin nerd and his MMOs designed specifically to exploit him and mindhack his attention span. GO TO WORK!
-Smormu = test of free will and anyone who votes for him goes to hell (e.g having him run up to him and do the snake charmer chant forever while the announcer mocks you)

-Mip is a Ricardo Lopez expie who has sexual feelings for both Charlie and the Princess, who he tries to bomb for not responding to his advances - this equates to mocking bisexuality as a form of perversion that is inherently connected to the societal interpretation of psychopathy and born-bad pathological malice, much like the medical perception of homosexuality in the 1950s

>Season 1, Episode 7 - "Frowning Friends" - Envy
-Nihilism isn't actually a deadly sin, so they had to include a plotline about the Boss being le heckin' angry and trying to AK the Frowning Friends because he's jealous of them, which reads more like insecurity and diversion from the potential of Zach and Michael being accused of bullying atheists

>Season 1, Episode 8 - "Charlie Dies And Doesn't Come Back" - The Pedantically Simple And Supposedly Funny Thesis Statement
-lol guys what if we made the Devil a porn addict and had a scene at the end where the Jewish voice actor LITERALLY SAYS "Christianity was real all along!" with a shot of the other character being visibly uncomfortable so the intended audience can sadistically savor it
-what if we had Charlie come back as a ghost in reference to the resurrection

It seems like Smiling Friends is coasting by on an Insane Clown Posse effect where, because the media portrays things that the upstream and Christian societies consider disturbing or offensive, like violence or gore, potential dissenters ignore the extreme sadism and overt Christian nature of the messaging and beliefs espoused.

I don't know if Christianity is true, but I saw more than a bright light when I almost died. There is something very abstract and hard to explain on the other side. It felt like living entities of some kind, but not physical by any means.

Maybe. Could be that it just bugs me that schizos are just always hostile to everyone no matter what. Everyone is their enemy, so no matter what you do or say, they're just angry at you before you even say a word. With autists at least they can be nice. At least that's been my experience.
