I again think that the entire plot is massively served by Adrian winding up dead some 17-18 years ago. Not only does it get rid of a useless character, it make Pandora actions much more meaningful. You could have scenes where Pandora is talking to Adrian, then make it clear that she is talking to an empty room. Envision Noah raised by a insane Pandora, that constantly conjures images her dead son, that she then argues with.
