It's past midnight and I didn't see one of those comfy semi regular Katana threads, so I'm starting one because I always wondered why in many adaptations of the character she's portrayed as a teenager.
I'm aware that her origin is dark as hell and it would be really difficult to adapt to more kid friendly media, but that doesn't really explain the age change.

That show was quite new and it's not even a good one to say, but her design was made as a teenager because well, it's cute but also appealing. In fact, Tinier Tatsu is the only good design that I like the most from this boring show.

I have a theory that since half her adaptations are in Batman-related media, she gets changed to not overlap with Batman. Or make him look like a pussy. Though Isekai Katana isn't necessarily a teenager, just looks like one due to the art style (Harley Quinn has the same issue).

Idea for Tinier Tatsu secondary characters:
The Yamigirishi: two sisters dedicated to eradicate monsters and supernatural stuff in general after being the only survivors in their family after a monster incursion. They are the Sasuke to Tatsu's Usagi Yojimbo. Maybe a bit more antagonistic, because they don't really like the Soultaker and believe it'd be better if it was destroyed.

Amazing stuff, I love how the JLI is the "joke" in universe but in truth one of the more busted(power wise) Leagues even without Superman.

I think it's a pretty good point of comparison between the Doctors. Arthur is treated like a chump despite being able to stand up to the Big 7 Justice League while the JLI/JLE are considered "placeholders" for the real League despite a powerhouse lineup.
