Chris McLean from Total Drama Island. I know some people on this board like that show but I always thought it was fucking ass.

I never understood why Johnny Test got the hate it got. It wasn't the worst thing and the first 3 seasons were pretty good, but after that it did dip in quality and even the last few seasons had some pretty solid episodes despite the whipcracks and the rigged animation. It was just one of those shows that was a punching bag for online autists and reviewers.

Not to mention it's one of the few instances where the show was able to get a revival thanks to it gaining traction on streaming.

Because it came out during an era when people still clearly remembered animation before cheap flash rigging and it was spammed to fucking high Hell on Cartoon Network. The episodes were also really unimaginative and kept relying on the exact same beats over and over again. Only the first season is really exempt from this.

It's just an easy target and enough people jumped on the idea that they see it as cool to jump aboard shitting on it.

Growing up without cable I could always rely on Johnny Test. It was solidly entertaining. Cartoons like Magi-Nation and Legion of Super Heroes came and went but Johnny Test was always airing, along with Sonic X and the many different TMNT series.

NGL I also really liked The General (yes thats his name) to. One of my best stereotypical army high command types in media that isnt played as a one off gag but is an actual character.

Johnny Test is one for the funniest cartoons I've ever watched, I never understood why people hated it so much. The dialogue and voice acting were great. And unlike the other Canadian shows, Johnny Test always felt like it belonged on CN/WB and could compete with how funny the originals were. It was a good show, I enjoyed it.
