Zooble cheered Gangle. Gangle was happy. King acts as a sane force helping both Pomni and Ragatha. Ragatha is depressed. Jax might be funny (to us), but to the characters he isn't.

His philosophy of "just letting it go and enjoying the cartoon antics" is not entirely wrong, but he being the only one acting like that ends up hurting others.
