Prime is shit, but it has some decent ideas. It seems to imply that Rouge, of all people, is the one who will step up and take charge of the resistance when push comes to shove. That is a genuinely fascinating layer to her character that I'd like to see explored in something that doesn't suck.

There legitimately isn't a purpose for Rouge right now, her whole story is dependent on a role and setting that at present doesn't exist right now.

Her only purpose in Prime was for exposition and moving the plot along, and that extends to her variants, who were just temporary leaders until one of the characters who actually mattered stood up to take he role as part of their development.
