nah the show itself looked pretty decent, the lighting and directing made everything feel really natural, the Christmas movie in comparison you could describe more as parody looking the way it was flatly shot and how bright and saturated everything was, going back to watch that after the show is like whiplash, it way cheaper looking in comparison
