The way I see it is Brita never gave up on finding love despite her long list of absent fathers
Sometimes the man lied about how much he loves her
Sometimes an accident happened
And sometimes if that man ever tried to touch her daughters again she'll shoot him
And eventually she found Lynn, a single father who just moved to Royal Woods to start his own restaurant
They hit it off very fast and hard, so fast that Brita's daughters are trying to talk their mother out of it
But they failed, Lynn stuck around long enough that he ended up getting Brita pregnant with Blily; causing him and Lincoln to move in with the Blouds
The girls all have mixed feelings about the two boys
Blori saw her mother suffer the most and has a deep seeded distrust of Lynn
Bleni is cautious of Lynn but is happier that her mother is happy with him
Bluna also dislikes Lynn and her mother for "switching sides"
Bluan doesn't have much faith in Lynn sticking around, but wants him to because he loves her jokes
Blynn doesn't care about Lynn and wishes her mother would stop trying
Blucy avoids Lynn and doesn't try to get close to him
Blola doesn't listen to a damn thing he says
Blana was the same as Blola, until Lynn started helping her fix things around the house
Blisa believes Lynn is only here to satisfy his "white guilt" and is just "rescuing" a poor black mother
Blily loves her dad and doesn't understand why her sisters are so cold to him
It's quite a different story for Lincoln, however
Generally the older sisters are taking their history with their mother's failed relationships to turn Lincoln into a good man
Blori is the strictest and has high expectations for Lincoln
Bleni is loves testing white-boy fashion on him
Bluna is always dogging on Lincoln to bring home only black girls
Bluan likes making Lincoln uncomfortable with her jokes and rues the day he actually laughs at them
To be continued...
