His convoluted origins, his one-note supervillain father, and the jackpot device he made for Mary Jane, are all too messy to get acknowledged in any other medium beside the comics.
This might change eventually, but for now he offers no value unless they want love triangle or ntr plotline.

Nah. At worst anyone would remember this as a hack adaptation of Raimi's Spider-Man 3. This is a genuine a problem if Marvel Comics want to publish Spider-Man in Naver's Webtoon where you have shit like a decade years old Wind Breaker axed because of plagiarism and a mismanagement of a manhwa editor for failing to bridge the author and the publisher.
