Now that you mention it I realized Kinger was the only person there treating their weapon as if it was a real world firearm Zooble too, until they did the Grievous gimmick. He was plinking shots directly at Gangle and Zooble with a pistol while they were both easily 50 meters away or more. I don't even think somebody who regularly goes to the gun range could do that.

Hopefully they explore it to its fullest potential in the series finale. Kinger is the master dev of the circus. Cane is a runaway program. This is why Kinger is "the oldest one there" and was able to make the butterfly. Also why Cane is obsessed with making good stories and is getting more and more upset no one likes them. As well as he's not supposed to be able to affect memories (amnesia) but can. He's some program Kinger made but when Kinger was in the Circus Cane decided to go rogue. Only plot hole to my theory is how new people are getting sucked in.

The digital circus is a metaphor for 21st century people being raised in front of a screen and their minds being more in virtual spaces than in the real space.
Rather than concluding that this is evil and dystopian, Digital Circus will probably say “hey a lot of people out there are living their best lives they ever could have through this”.
Obviously it will be articulated more thoroughly than that but you get my idea.

It's probable the circus is a still active VR game in a defunct corporate building. Each person probably put on the VR helmet for varying reasons, at varying times.

My interpretation for now is that C&A shutdown after the circus disappeared several key staff, including Kinger. Ragatha showed up years later as a real estate agent tasked with selling the building. Pomni shows up a decade or so later, after exploring the now abandoned building. Zooble also mentions urban exploration, so maybe that is how she came to be there too. That just leaves Gangle and Jax unaccounted for.

For one, caine did pull the plug on the adventure early, 2 jax was being evasive, 3 kinger wasn't paying attention, 4 gangle wasn't engaging with the conversation unless directly spoken to, 4 ragatha clammed after noticing everything one staring at her after the abusive mother thing, and 4 zooble, just wasn't sharing very much, cuz she's almost as armored as jax is.

He's a genius programmer, maybe even a hacker, those kinds of people aren't known for being badass marksman warriors. Kinger has been in the game the longest, that means he has the most experience playing Caine's games, that's probably why he was so good with guns. He also got an A when it came to the radio, I doubt he's done that sort of thing IRL, he's just got a lot of experience in doing almost everything because of the Caine scenarios.

But it is interesting to think of Kinger as some sort of Watchdogs 2 hacker hero. If he was involved with some dangerous and illegal sci-fi shit like the digital circus, maybe it would make sense for him to know guns.

I think the story will have a legitimate end and won't ever continue, but I do think they'll keep using the characters somehow. Maybe shorts, or an episodic series just showing adventures in the circus. I'm not sure if this is true but it seemed like theres "in-between" adventures that the series doesn't show, I think those have potential for a less serious spinoff series if they wanted to keep it going in some way.

With the bar scene and how they interact with Gangle, I've slowly grown to quite like Zooble recently, they're really chill and kind.
Their clashing with Caine is also interesting. It feels kind of foolish to be so curt with him, it's genuinely pretty unsettling when he starts to show any sort of frustration.

Kinger made a butterfly that heals, Ragatha stopped a realistic gun from firing with her finger, and Pomni became a master gunner just by playing evil.

It also could explain other things in earlier episodes, like Gangle's infomercial in episode 4, the dead body coming to life to say he won't come to life in episode 3, and why there were so many knives in the candy truck in episode 2 (they weren't even candy knives; at least the mannequins were rendered to look like candy).
