What a paradoxical movie: made with negative resources just so they could hold on to the brand, but at the same time everyone seemed like they were actually trying to make the best version of their zero budget movie.

That's because they didn't know it was just to hold onto the brand. Everyone in the cast and crew thought it was going to actually be released, then they were just as surprised as everyone else when the producer told them to fuck off.
