TTG didn't start out as "fart jokes and cringy meta humor: the show" I'd say the first and most of the second season were basically Rock-Lee-and-His-Ninja-Pals esque where it's a spinoff and it's chibified versions of the characters either dicking around when they're not fighting crime, or they're fighting crime but it's silly and there's always some sort of punchline involved.
Thundercats Roar is what people that hate TTG think TTG's been since the first episode. Hell, TCR being an actual reboot of the show instead of a spinoff is the perfect example. A lot of people blame Go! for the string of bad reboots we got in the late 10s, and I do believe it's responsible for TCR, but only because the suits failed to grasp what made TTG click. They just saw that a lot of people hated it and others found its wackiness endearing and capitalized off of that. It fails to capture new fans, it's completely insulted and alienated the old fans, and all they have is just a visual and audible eyesore.
