How much of what Stan Lee "presented" did he have any involvement with or know about the existence of?

I mean he’s Jewish right? He probably knows about the kemetic mystery school and pagan folklore that be aped for all of his characters, it was pretty open knowledge back then until humanity decide to shut their eyes and stop reading books and learning history

more than you would think, actually
a lot of people actually thought that getting stan lees approval was just going to be a rubber stamp, only for stan lee to actually get involved
he actually loved being able to write again after having been moved to a figurehead position

"who wants to be a superhero" actually ended up as a stan lee pet project, where they thought he would just make an opening narration or something, only for him to end up in every episode
according to stan lee, he thought a reality TV show where people tried to be good people instead of bad ones was an interesting idea

He wrote, drew, lettered, colored, and edited every comic with his name on it.

Read scripts, negate ideas they don't like or discuss one they like with writers, set up books to publish and assigns creators to books, or listen to pitches to decide what to publish

When people say that Stan Lee's handlers milked him for everything he had, they were speaking literally. They told him that they needed blood for a test, took far more than was medically healthy, then used it to make Stan sign black panther comics. They call it 'Stan Lee’s Solvent DNA Ink.'

From approximately 1945 to 1972, Stan Lee was the person in charge of Timely/Atlas/Marvel Comics. During the 40s he had two or three assistant editors, due to the volume of material published by Timely. From 1956 to 1965, it was just him.

Everything was checked over by Stan, even if he hadn't written the story or assigned it. If he found someone he trusted, such as Kirby or Ditko or Roy Thomas, he'd just glance at it. All covers had to be approved by him.

This has been verified by Roy Thomas, John Romita and Marie Severin.

In 1972, he was promoted to Publisher and left day to day operations to the succession of editors-in-chief who took over for him. So he had very little to do with creation at Marvel after that, aside from pushing Spider Woman and She-Hulk, both to protect Marvel copyrights.

He's the one who hired Kirby, Ditko, Romita, Heck, Ayers, Colan, Buscema and others. He hired Roy Thomas. His thumbprint is all over Marvel of the 60s and early to mid 70s. He was as much a part of the company's success as Kirby or Ditko.

If not for Stan Lee, the names Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko would likely be unknown to you.
I don't think you realize how much he did to promote artists as individuals. Before then, the hand in superhero comics was very much invisible.
