Marvel All-On-One + The Thing #2-3 Storytime
Haven't storytimed the issues of The Thing beyond #1, so we're catching up on everything Ben Grimm today.
>THE THING VS. THE MARVEL UNIVERSE - A 50-Page epic told entirely in splash pages! Ben Grimm, A.K.A. The Thing: He's the ever-lovin' idol of millions and powerhouse of the Fantastic Four. He's strong, he's kind, and he never gives up. And he's also tired, and he's sore, and he's grumpy. There's always a new threat facing the world or the galaxy or the universe - and somehow, he and the rest of the Fantastic Four are always the only ones who can stop it. Ben Grimm is sick and tired of it. He just wants a break! But when he returns to Earth after a solo mission in space to discover the Fantastic Four have turned against him - along with the rest of New York City, and, apparently, the entire world - he's got a mystery to solve...and a whole wide world to clobber.
>Ben Grimm takes on the entire planet in this special Marvel Anniversary issue - across 50 pages of incredible nonstop action so bold, so colossal, that the only pages that aren't splash pages are double-page spreads!
>It's Marvel as you've always wanted to see it, at our biggest - our baddest - our most clobberingest! It's the wildest story we've ever published! It's Marvel All-on-One!

Shame but suppose at least means they aren't being chumped out or mishandled at least which is sadly all to common with their modern appearances. Especially after the ghastly addition Jason Aaron slapped on them to shill no one's favourite character.

Fair point since hate that issue so much for that single often posted page and how it slanders my guy Dirk, Though shame Wrecker used to be able to square up with Thing solo and even in a Bendis written story almost pummeled Wolverine, Spider-man and Spider-Woman on his own but now is just a jobber. Least he got that cool reveal and moment in Moon Knight a while back.

Yeah that'd make sense since Ben likes to bant, also since talking Wrecking Crew. Poor Bulldozer really has nothing going for him even without being compared to his teammates or even Juggernaut, Rhino and the other run at thing guys.

Buy these in your local comic store if you liked 'em. Or something.
NEXT WEEK
>The second-stringers have fallen, and now it's time for Ben Grimm to hit harder than he's ever punched anyone! Can he stop the unstoppable Juggernaut while protecting an innocent child? And who is watching the battle from the shadows?
Anonymous No.149960142 >>149960162

To be fair Wrecker's best fight against Ben was when he had the full power of Wrecking Crew in himself. Here in most other fights he's sharing with the other three and that leaves him four times weaker individually.
Anonymous No.149960162
>>149960142
I have to wonder if he's ever thought of dropping the other 3 to retain his peak strength or if he's just gotten so codependent with his team that he doesn't even consider buffing up by discarding them since they are essentially all Dirks got with his grandmother he is fond of long passed and no other friends or family of note.

Often people underestimate the fact tha Ben Is smart enough to work with Reed's complex machines and vehicles.
Spiderman web shooter must be a child play for him.

Ben actively contributes to that by pretending to be simple and acting like what Reed says is quantum physics to him (something Reed and Cap both called him out on) despite having multiple engineering degrees and building hi-tech planes by hand.
