One thing I hate about BCB is that the storytelling is fundamentally dishonest. It pretends to be a coherent narrative but is subject to the whims of a crazy person whose priorities are in constant flux. We will be told one thing, shown the opposite, and then the whole matter gets unceremoniously retconned anyway. Absolutely nothing this story directly says or simply implies to the reader can be trusted.

It brings me indecent joy and pleasure to see Daisy be crushed in arguments despite being right, or being pathetically jealous over other girls, or thirsting for boys who she knows are too good for her.
It it viscerally exciting to see Daisy give up and accept her place, to surrender hope that she will ever be anything but a distant last pick romantically and sexually, to agree and internalize that she is worthless.
It is great fun to see her double down, to try to pretty herself up, to be slutty and aggressive enough that some boy will take her, only to be confronted by the fact that both her body and her heart are too ugly to win anyone over.
I am filled with amusement at the dramatic irony of knowing that her strategy means that no-one will ever think of her as a girlfriend, but only as an easy lay-up/fallback-option at best, or an offputting stalker at worst.

I like to imagine Daisy going to college, already depressed over her social prospects, and try to make up for lost time with anyone who will take her. She burns out spectacularly, fails her classes, ruins her reputation, and destroys her own self-esteem with boy after girl after boy, party after party, drink after drink. In the end she ends up more of a social pariah than she ever was before, the med school's most infamously desperate degenerate.

I'm guessing the reason the dream shit is being brought up is so Lucy can do something mean to Mike later with the excuse of being grumpy over Alejandro raping her in a dream

Fair enough, but you're missing the chasm between what Taeshi intends, and what she actually writes. For example, I'm pretty sure she intends Mike/Lucy/Paulo/Daisy to be sympathetic and likable, making forgivable mistakes but ultimately being good friends. But she WRITES them as a quadumvirate of toxic, insane, dishonest, awful bullies, who all make each other far worse, and should leave and never contact each other again for everyone's sake.

If this comic ever ends which is already a big assumption then yes, Lucy will win everything and ride off into the sunset having "won" Mike(or Paulo or Augustus, if Taeshi changes her favorite ship again)'s undying love and loyalty. But you and I both know that relationship would implode into a miserable mess the SECOND authorial fiat is no longer holding it together; IE, the second after the comic ends.

Meanwhile Sandy will have lost everything... except her professional skills/connections, peerless charisma, iron will, good looks, and luck. And if Taeshi does try to take any of those things away, Sandy will instantly become a fan-favorite - she's already inadvertently made Sandy likable by giving her some actual tragedy and problems that aren't just self-inflicted unlike her main characters lmao, and there's no way she could spin "girl gets consumed by modeling industry and spit out penniless" as unsympathetic.
