Shrek 2 is worse than its PDI predecessors. It's also worse than the other PDI movie that was being made almost at the same time.

Have you never considered that Shrek 2 is overrated? It's just not as good as its PDI predecessors (Antz and Shrek), let alone the five Pixar movies that were available at that point.
