I find it funny how /co/tards on the site say "WAAAAHHH, FIXED IS ON THE SAME LEVEL OF QUALITY AS THESE", when in reality it’s one of the few adult animated projects these days to actually have artistic merit put into it, even if the film is not for you it’s nice to actually see something adult animated that’s actually cartoonist driven for once.

Adult Swim is usually known for mixing up their artstyles when it comes to adult animation, stuff like Superjail, King Star King, Smiling Friends, Ballmastrz, Heist Safari, etc., the main reason networks like Fox use this cheap ass thinline Family Guy clone artstyle is cause it’s unappealing to kids AND cheap. When Adult Swim actually knows how to make shows look unappealing to kids and look good, and it’s not like those artstyles ever stopped curious kids from watching those anyway.

Because they are made on a shoestring (necessitating hiring a cheap studio re-using a style their artists are already trained on) and for whatever reason executives think animated comedies should be flat static compositions with every joke being written dialogue with no visual gags.

Also the quality of comedy writers in the business plummeted during the writers strike and never recovered. Scabs got hired and nepo'd in more and more scabs until we reached today where every comedy writer's room is nothing but people that bombed their first stand up set and gave up.

I see more kids/teens watch adult sitcoms than adults do. Also it has nothing to do with being "cheap", they can easily do different art styles on the budgets they have, they just don't want it to look different from Family Guy because it scares off the potential audience that does like FG. If you make something look similar to something people already like they will get the hint easier it's going to be more of the same stuff they like in other shows and they will have a higher chance of trying it out.

There's also the whole aspect that a lot of writers for these shows also simply don't like too much visual movement happening because they think it detracts from their jokes/writing. A lot of the people running the shows that dictate the animation don't really understand the medium they're working with and view it as beneath them, they just want their paychecks so they can go back to work on some live action shit afterwards.
