What the actual fuck. Advanced classes are optional. You have to both qualify and want to take them. They robbed THEMSELVES of the thing THEY WANTED.

Also when I took advanced classes we just did the same shit as the regular classes but faster. There's no reason they would take up more funding, it was purely just the same class but at an advanced pace to meet kids at their skill levels.

I took some advanced classes in high school, we went on field trips that the rest of the school didn't get to go on to like specialized museums or professional labs
And at school we got priority access to the lab equipment and more chances to perform experiments
