You mean Evil Pomni and Jax. They hit it off right from first meetings, but it's a doomed ship since she's and NPC and can't exist outside an adventure. Well, Caine won't LET her exist outside an adventure.

Speaking of which, evidence that our lovable group of misfits are just brain engrams running on whatever servers Caine is the warden of feels kinda air-tight at this point. In episode 5 he literally admits he believes the other characters are intelligent AI. This corroborates with the first clue, when Caine blipped Gummigoo out of existence. At the time it felt like a "aw geez Caine's an unhinged AI", but he pretty clearly reveals that he can't really tell the difference between his NPCs and the gang. Combined with the reveals in 5 and 6 that yes, he actually CAN alter the minds of the "players" whenever he feels like it, well.

It's like I've been saying for a while, there is no escape. There is no OUT, for them to escape to.
